1 Definitions
1.1 In these terms and conditions the following words shall have attributed
to them the meanings specified.
1.2 'Customer' shall mean the person, company or any other body that purchases
or agrees to purchase products from FFA.
1.3 'Products' shall mean all items which the customer agrees to buy from FFA
including replacements for defective products.
1.4 'Contract' shall mean the contract between FFA and the customer for the
sale of products by FFA to the customer.
1.5 'Working days' shall mean Monday to Friday inclusive but exclusive of Bank
Holidays.
2 General
2.1 All orders for products are accepted by FFA subject to these terms and conditions
of sale which supersede any other terms and conditions previously published.
These constitute the entire understanding between FFA and the customer for the
sale of products.
2.2 All descriptions and photographs contained within the website or any price
list or otherwise communicated to the customer are intended as guidance only
and descriptions and photographs may vary. FFA will use its best endeavours
to ensure that all descriptions and photographs are correct, but it is the customers
own responsibility and expectations and use of the product in the way intended
by the customer are clear and correctly stated as this is relevant to the information
then offered by FFA on FFA products.
2.3 These products are only meant to be used as an additional aid and therefore
cannot be relied upon for the sole method of protection. Therefore no liability
will be taken for any loss or damage to customers goods or property due to incorrect
use of the product or product failure.
3 Data Protection
3.1 By placing an order with FFA the customer can be assured that no information
will be used or passed on to a third party.
4 Orders
4.1 FFA reserves the right to deliver part orders, or hold orders until all
items are available, as required. All orders will be normally despatched within
2-3 days but please allow up to 28 days unless otherwise agreed by the customer
or due to circumstances beyond the control of FFA. Any large orders will have
an extended delivery period over the normal 28 days depending on the size of
the order. FFA reserves the right to decline to trade with any person or organisation.
5 Prices
5.1 All prices for the products are in pounds sterling and whilst every endeavour
will be made to maintain the prices on the website, FFA reserves the right to
alter prices at any time.
6 Export
6.1 Postage will be charged on orders involving export at the rate set by FFA.
The customer is responsible at their own expense to obtain any import or export
licence, or any other documentation necessary by any compliant authority. If
you are not in the UK, we have no knowledge of, and no responsibility for, the
laws in your country. You are responsible for purchasing Goods which you are
lawfully able to import and for the payment of import duties and taxes of any
kind levied in your country.
7 Order Cancellation
7.1 If the customer wishes to cancel an order or a part order they should do
so immediately by contacting FFA either by sending an e-mail to alarmdoor@tiscali.co.uk
or writing to Fridge Freezer Alarm 15 Schoolgate Barwick in Elmet Leeds LS15
4PF. If the order has been despatched then the customer will have to return
the product at their own expense. Once the product has been returned to FFA
the customer will receive a refund on the product but not on the postage and
package costs incurred by FFA. Orders where products have been specifically
ordered for customer requirements cannot be cancelled.
8 Warranty and Returns
8.1 Any defects in the products which under proper use appear within twelve
months after delivery and which are due to faulty materials or workmanship will
be made good by FFA either by repair or, at the sole discretion of FFA, by replacement
or refund. We are very happy to refund or exchange items that are returned within
14 days of receipt. Returned goods must be unused with no marks or signs of
wear and with their original packaging, so that they can be re-sold. The customer
must contact FFA first before returning the unwanted product. The customer will
have to return the product at their own expense. Once the product has been returned
to FFA the customer will receive a refund on the product but not on the postage
and package costs. If an exchange is required the customer will have to pay
any extra costs involved or receive a refund if the item is of less value.
